3 key factors to consider when installing all weather surfaces for sports, playground surfaces and industrial floor solutions (Michael McSweeney)

An all weather sports surface, a safe playground surface or the right industrial floor solution: luxury or necessity? Whether we are in a playground, at work in a clean room or restaurant environment, or training on a synthetic or artificial rugby pitch, we are somewhat exposed to a potential injury. Slips and trips account for up to 35% of major accidents in the food and drink industry alone (source; hse.gov.uk). It is for this reason that the right sports surface or industrial flooring system for work as much as leisure is a necessity. Here are three important factors to consider when purchasing a floor surface for industrial flooring solutions, wet rooms, and sports surfaces such as an all weather pitch or a tennis surface, presented by Marie McSweeney, Manager of Irish based Playground and Sports Surface Installation experts McSweeney Sports Surfaces and wet room and industrial floor suppliers Mcresinfloors.com

1. Foundation

What's under the surface? The surface our shoes stand upon, is the final layer of a whole system, and the finishing element of a process. Laying the right sports surface, playground surface or industrial flooring application often requires surface excavation, heavy duty clearing and preparation. Many layers may be put down in order to achieve the right balance of durability, shock absorption, grip and comfort. A typical multi layer surface that we walk on in our supermarket, warehouse or wet room environment involves just 2 - 4 mm of thickness, but let's take a quick look at what comprises this typical floor. A Viasol epoxy resin coated system as supplied by http://mcresinfloors.com will work upwards typically from concrete and include an adhesive primer. Then a levelling layer may be added before the top coat is applied. It is only then that the seal coat is applied and any finishing trim after that. So even in this simple example there are up to 5 layers beneath our feet on any typical sports surface, industrial floor or wet room floor surface.

2. Standards Adherence

If laying a tennis surface, a GAA all weather pitch or an artificial football playing surface, the governing body for that sport or discipline will have floor specifications and recommendations. Both the Lawn Tennis Association and the International Tennis Association have approved specifications for synthetic grass court and acrylic court surface installations. There are usually three forces at play for any sports surface installation: safety, durability and replication of natural surface dynamics. However, multi-sport playing surfaces can be achieved so that each sports requirements can be attained and exceeded. But this should be checked first. Usually GAA, Rugby and soccer can be catered for on the one artificial sports surface.

In a clean room or industrial floors environment it may in certain situations require attainment of recommended or approved specifications such as having a terrazzo floor rise a certain number of centimetres up the adjoining wall. In fact in many food preparation areas, the walls are now required to be of the same resin finish as the floor so maximum hygiene can be maintained.

3. Maintenance

So you've invested wisely in your new tennis surface, community playground surface and play equipment or industrial floor and it looks great. A wise decision is to include a recommended period of maintenance in your contract with your sports or industrial floor surface installation expert. They will have a supply of the correct resin and finishing materials for preventative maintenance and repair that will provide ongoing durability and aesthetic uniformity.

So in summary, any floor installation must properly account for safety, fitness for purpose, and durability. Each industry and sport's governing body will actually have an approved specification and this is in place for everyone's safety. Your professional sports surface and industrial flooring supplier will have knowledge of these requirements and be able to install accordingly and also achieve your aesthetic preferences which are of particular importance for playground surfaces, wet room floors and artificial sports surfaces.

Marvin Test Solutions Showcases Armament Test Expertise at the Farnborough International Airshow

FARNBOROUGH, England, July 14, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Marvin Test Solutions, a trusted provider of globally deployed innovative test solutions for military, aerospace, and manufacturing organizations, is demonstrating its solutions this week at the Farnborough International Airshow in Hall 2 – Booth A11. Increasingly complex "smart" armament systems equipped with MIL-STD-1760 interfaces demand test systems with capabilities that go beyond simple stray voltage and continuity tests to reduce the risk of mission failure. Marvin Test Solutions has the proven equipment and domain expertise to meet these demands, and will be showcasing multiple armament test systems at the show.

"We know that as air forces across the globe look to modify or extend the life of current aircraft by adding new weapons systems, they often require new, more capable maintenance and sustainment equipment that can test advanced functionality amidst stressed acquisition funding," said Major General Steve Sargeant, USAF (Ret.) and CEO of Marvin Test Solutions. "Our MTS-3060 SmartCan™ Universal O-Level Test Set represents a paradigm shift away from the traditional one-for-one test equipment replacement approach, offering maintainers on the flightline the new test capabilities they need while meeting the constraints of shrinking budgets."

In addition to the MTS-3060 SmartCan™, the Marvin Test Solutions MTS-2xx series of I-level test sets are designed for serious backshop troubleshooting and repair, but rugged enough to withstand the harsh flightline environment if taken there by maintainers.

Understanding the Warfighting Armament Test Gap

Over the years, the avionics and armament systems of 4th and 5th generation aircraft – from the A-10 to the F-22 – have received numerous upgrades, including Smart weapons technology and enhancements to legacy weapons. Today's armament systems seldom resemble the systems deployed almost four decades ago. Yet, maintainers are still required to use the same or similar flightline test equipment – "beercan" testers and big-box test equipment – to verify that these new, sophisticated armament systems are actually full mission capable (FMC). The legacy test systems leave a gap in armament testing, as they do not deliver the comprehensive test capabilities required for the new Smart weapons during preload testing, and are neither cost effective nor easy to deploy.

Because of this armament test gap, there are multiple failure modes that can go undetected until after a weapon has been loaded. Discovery of a defective system error after upload can result in risk of failure or degradation that could affect a warfighter's ability to perform its mission.

For more about the Warfighting Armament Test Gap, readers can visit marvintest.com/armament for a white paper.

Proven Solutions for Armament Test with the MTS-3060 SmartCan™ and MTS-2xx Products

The MTS-3060 SmartCan™ Universal O-Level Test Set standardizes and consolidates flightline test equipment across legacy 4th and 5th generation aircraft. It tests Smart weapons and associated aircraft interfaces as well as all legacy armament systems. In addition, the SmartCan™ also provides rapid, on-aircraft troubleshooting for armament and several weapons. Furthermore, the SmartCan™ simplifies maintenance by automating the test processes and reducing the test footprint on the flightline. Because the SmartCan™ spans maintenance tests across legacy aircraft, it can result in significant cost savings through standardization and streamlined training. The MTS-3060 SmartCan™ is already successfully deployed and proven effective on the F-16 Block 15 and 50, F-15C, TA-50, FA-50, and F-5 aircraft.

The MTS-209 Common Armament Test Set complements the MTS-3060 SmartCan™ and tests launchers, racks, and pylons at the I-Level, removed from the aircraft. The MTS-209 supports testing of legacy launchers for AIM-9 and AGM-65 missiles as well as racks and launchers for smart weapons including AIM-120, JDAM, and more.

For missile testing, the MTS-206 and the MTS-916 combine to test Maverick and Hellfire missiles at the I-Level and depot level. The MTS-206 and MTS-916 combination provides a thorough verification and boresighting of optical seekers and guidance sections.

Providing Warfighting Enhancements for the F-35

Looking to the future and post-System Design and Development (SDD) for the F-35, the SmartCan™ stands ready to deploy to the flightline if warfighters seek an enhancement to the current level of armament testing. At the O-level, the armament test requirements during SDD only call for the use of a simple, stray voltage and continuity test set. While continuity testing is credited with detecting historically many of the problems with the MIL-STD-1760 bus, some failure modes can go undetected until the weapons are loaded. The SmartCan™ can significantly reduce the unknowns and, therefore, mitigate mission risk by performing functionality tests on the MIL-STD-1760 bus validating communications, arming, and release prior to loading weapons.

If countries using the F-35 decide to move beyond the current two-level only maintenance strategy, supporting "remove and replace" module maintenance activity, maintainers can use the rugged and proven MTS-235 F-35 Armament Test Set to conduct critical, post-SDD I-level troubleshooting and repair of the F-35 armament. The MTS-235 is a depot-level test designed to withstand the rigors of the deployed backshop (I-level). It has been in daily use for years in Inglewood CA, qualifying all of the F-35 AME produced by the Marvin Engineering Company.

Showcasing Solutions at the Farnborough International Airshow

At the Farnborough International Airshow, attendees can see demonstrations* of our armament, avionics, and other innovative test solutions, including:

IBM Receives Frost & Sullivan Customer Value Leadership Award for its Mobile Identity and Access Management Solutions

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., May 20, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Based on its recent analysis of mobile authentication, Frost & Sullivan recognizes IBM with the 2014 Global Frost & Sullivan Award for Customer Value Leadership. Central to the company's success in generating value for customers is the integration of various mobile security, mobile identity, and access management solutions. IBM's strong value proposition with regards to the provisioning of context-based authentication for multiple mobile device types and mobile applications has also been instrumental to its success.

"When it comes to identity and access management, organizations often face a trade-off between improving security levels and delivering greater end-user convenience," said Frost & Sullivan Senior Industry Analyst Mario Fernandez. "IBM breaks the security/end-user convenience trade-off through its IBM Security Access Manager for Mobile appliance."

The IBM Security Access Manager for Mobile appliance's risk engine determines the risk of an end user's authentication attempt by comparing it with a historical behavior profile of that user, which contains information related to the volume, type and frequency of transactions; Internet protocol reputation; geographic location; and device fingerprinting. On ascertaining the risk, the appropriate authentication method is applied. While low-risk access attempts require simple authentication methods such as a password, high-risk access attempts might involve hardware or software one-time password tokens.

To determine the appropriate authentication method, the IBM Security Access Manager for Mobile risk engine also pays heed to the application or data that the end user wants to access. For instance, if an end user wants to access a business-critical application or confidential data, then they must use an authentication method with a high degree of irrefutability. Essentially then, security becomes context-based and organizations can establish—and seamlessly enforce—access management policies without introducing greater end-user inconvenience.

The value proposition of IBM's Security Access Manager for Mobile appliance is enhanced through the integration of other IBM products, including IBM Security Access Manager for Web, which adds content security capabilities to protect against attacks such as SQL injection and cross-site scripting. Likewise, IBM's Federated Identity Manager, which supports the Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML), WS-Federation and OpenID standard protocols, can enable federated single sign-on. This facilitates the integration of cloud services, such as Google Apps or Office 365, which also support the above-mentioned protocols.

In a bid to remain ahead of its competitors, IBM added two important security companies and their corresponding products to its portfolio in 2013—Trusteer and Fiberlink. The company has also drawn up a future-proof product roadmap that recognizes that biometric authentication methods and contactless technologies will play a prominent role in enabling mobile access.

"Already, IBM's scientists have developed an algorithm to determine biometric-based authentication risk scores and risk analysis that can be incorporated into IBM Security Access Manager for Mobile," said Fernandez.

Each year, Frost & Sullivan presents this award to the company that demonstrates excellence in implementing strategies that proactively create value for its customers with a focus on improving the return on the investment that customers make in its services or products. This award recognizes the company's inordinate focus on enhancing the value that its customers receive, beyond simply good customer service, leading to improved customer retention and, ultimately, customer base expansion.

Frost & Sullivan Best Practices Awards recognize companies in a variety of regional and global markets for demonstrating outstanding achievement and superior performance in areas such as leadership, technological innovation, customer service and strategic product development. Industry analysts compare market participants and measure performance through in-depth interviews, analysis and extensive secondary research to identify best practices in the industry.

BioLife Solutions Announces First Quarter 2014 Results and Provides Business Update

BOTHELL, Wash., May 8, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- BioLife Solutions, Inc. (NASDAQ: BLFS), a leading developer, manufacturer and marketer of proprietary clinical grade hypothermic storage and cryopreservation freeze media and precision thermal shipping products for cells and tissues  ("BioLife" or the "Company"), today announced financial results for the first quarter of 2014 and a business update.

Q1 2014 Financial Summary

Core, proprietary product revenue increased by 47% over the first quarter of 2013, driven by continued adoption of HypoThermosol®, CryoStor® and BloodStor® in the biobanking, drug discovery, and regenerative medicine markets. Revenues were $2.1 million in the first quarter of 2014, a decline of 4% from the first quarter of 2013 which included one-time license revenue of $0.6 million. Excluding the impact of the license revenue in 2013, revenue from product sales increased 33% in the first quarter of 2014 compared with the first quarter of 2013. Gross margin was 44% in the first quarter of 2014 compared with 52% in the prior period. Excluding the impact of the license revenue that had no corresponding cost, gross margin in the first quarter of 2013 would have been 33%, with year-over-year improvement due to the strong growth in our high margin proprietary product revenue. Operating loss was $0.4 million compared to operating income of $0.2 million in the first quarter of 2013, which included the positive impact of one time license revenue of $0.6 million. Mike Rice, BioLife's President & CEO, said, "During the first quarter, in addition to again exceeding $1 million in sales of our proprietary clinical grade biopreservation media products, we completed a transformational set of financial transactions. We have substantially improved our balance sheet by eliminating all debt and closing  a $15.4 million equity raisethat we believe will provide us with growth capital. We also completed a successful uplisting to the NASDAQ Capital Market®, which we believe will generate increased interest in our stock, allow us to attract more institutional investors and improve liquidity for shareholders. We are currently using some of this capital to expand our sales and marketing teams, attend additional scientific and trade conferences, and launch new organic and externally sourced products and services."

Other Significant Achievements for the First Quarter of 2014

The United States Patent and Trademark Office issued the Company a new patent on February 4, 2014. Patent number 8,642,255, titled "MATERIALS AND METHODS FOR HYPOTHERMIC COLLECTION OF WHOLE BLOOD", includes claims related to hypothermic preservation and storage of whole blood and blood components using the Company's HypoThermosol cell and tissue storage/shipping medium. We announced that Parcell Laboratories has adopted BioLife's CryoStor clinical grade cell and tissue freeze media for use in future clinical trials of Early Lineage Adult (ELA) stem cell therapies, for which Parcell holds an exclusive worldwide license. Adaptimmune Ltd adopted the Company's CryoStor clinical grade cell and tissue freeze media for use in Adaptimmune's current phase I/II clinical trial CT Antigen TCR-Engineered T Cells for Myeloma. With this announcement, Adaptimmune joined the growing list of BioLife customers developing adoptive immunotherapies for various cancers. The cancer immunotherapy field was selected by the editors of Science magazine as the Breakthrough of the Year for 2013.Contract Manufacturing Services Update and Estimated Impact to 2014 Results

We completed manufacturing products for the most recent purchase order from our contract manufacturing services customer in April 2014. Subsequently, we were informed that this customer does not intend to issue us any significant new purchase orders. We have not received any notice of termination of the manufacturing services agreement nor any breach of performance and we believe that we have met all of the performance requirements in the manufacturing services agreement with this customer.

Since the Company expects no further significant business from this customer and to enable the broadest operating freedom, on May 8, 2014, we provided this customer with notice of termination of the manufacturing services agreement dated December 22, 2011.  The agreement's termination is anticipated to be effective on or about November 5, 2014, which is 180 days after the date of our notice. The agreement bars us from manufacturing or selling any solution that is approved for clinical use related to the storage and transportation of human organs for a period of two years after termination (the "tail period"). We do not expect the tail period restriction to affect our core proprietary business or our ability to pursue other non-conflicting contract manufacturing opportunities in any way.

We expect to record revenue of approximately $0.1 million related to the remainder of the most recent purchase order in the second quarter of 2014, and no further revenue subsequent to that. Based on our historical run rate of revenue and costs, assuming this customer would have otherwise generated an additional $3 million in contract manufacturing revenue during the year ended December 31, 2014, the loss of this customer is expected to result in a reduction in gross profit of approximately $0.3 million and non-absorption of up to $0.7 million in certain manufacturing overhead costs for the year ending December 31, 2014. The financial effect on the Company of this contract termination may be mitigated if the related overhead costs can be reduced or reallocated to other products, such as our existing or new core products or new contract manufacturing relationships. In contrast, we expect an increase in overall gross margin percentage related to products reflecting the reduction in materials and supplies required to manufacture the contract manufactured product.

DigitalPersona Fingerprint Biometric Solutions Improve Security and Service in Latin America Banks

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., April 1, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- DigitalPersona, Inc., a trusted partner for biometric identity verification solutions, today announced that Coppel Corporation, a group of retail and finance companies, has chosen DigitalPersona® fingerprint technology to verify employee and customer identities in more than 800 banks and 1,000 Pension Fund Offices throughout Mexico, Argentina and Brazil. Coppel Corporation also maintains similar biometrics-based solutions in its retail stores and warehouses throughout their network.

Coppel Corporation's initial goal when deploying DigitalPersona fingerprint solutions was to improve customer service levels by simplifying the identification and authentication process in branch locations. Instead of undergoing a tedious document-based process, customers now simply place their finger on the DigitalPersona U.are.U® fingerprint readers and their identities are confirmed instantly.

"Customers like the ease of use and assured identity that fingerprint technology provides them," said Ing. Jose Gpe. Mendoza Macias, national manager of systems development for Coppel Corporation. "The fraud-fighting benefit of knowing someone cannot purchase goods on their account is also very important to our customers."

"In addition to customer identification, the employees are using the biometrics-based systems to log into computer systems, authenticate transactions, process wire transfers and more. The design of the solution is similar to systems deployed in retail locations, as well as Coppel Corporation's headquarters. The response from our staff and our customers has been overwhelmingly positive," Mendoza said.

"DigitalPersona's assured identity solutions are ideal for both employee and customer banking applications," said Richard Agostinelli, DigitalPersona president and CEO. "The strengths of our biometric-based offering are high security, low cost and simple operation, making the banking environment a natural fit for us. Marvin Test Solutions Announces New AIM-120 Simulation and Test Capabilities for MTS-3060 SmartCan™ Armament Test Set

IRVINE, Calif., March 25, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Marvin Test Solutions (formerly known as Geotest-Marvin Test Systems) a global provider of innovative test solutions for military, aerospace, and manufacturing organizations, today announced new enhancements to its MTS-3060 SmartCan™, a universal O-level aircraft armament test set for legacy aircraft employing smart weapons. With the new SmartCan™ enhancements, maintainers now can test the full functionality of the AIM-120 interface by emulating the missile.

Overcoming Obsolescence
Today, 4th and 5th generation aircraft, like the F-16, are equipped with smart (MIL-STD 1553 and 1760) weapons technology and enhanced legacy weapons. These aircraft demand rapid, on-aircraft test and troubleshooting capabilities, a simplified test process, and a smaller test footprint on the flightline to ensure efficient operation. Currently, armament circuits preload test sets (ACPTS) require additional, big-box test equipment test equipment to fully and accurately verify that sophisticated armament and munitions systems are full mission-capable (FMC), and in some cases, this combination can't even meet testing requirements. Therefore, maintainers need new testing capabilities to support today's smart weapons, including interfaces such as AIM-120.

With the compact SmartCan™ test set, Marvin Test Solutions aims to meet the testing needs of today's smart weapons while overcoming system obsolescence. SmartCan™ is capable of standardizing and consolidating armament test equipment across 4th and 5th generation aircraft, including F-5, Hawk, TA/ FA-50, A-10, F-15, F-16,  and F-18.

"SmartCan™, a test set that is capable of testing not only the continuity, but also the functionality of the MIL-STD-1760 bus ensures higher mission readiness and lowers the cost of flightline equipment," said Major General Steve Sargeant, USAF (Ret.) and CEO of Marvin Test Solutions. "Our new test capabilities for AIM-120 enhance the capabilities of the proven SmartCan™, a platform already successfully qualified and deployed on F-5, Hawk, TA/ FA-50, F-16 Block 15 and Block 50, and F-15C aircraft. These capabilities have been globally recognized by organizations including the Air National Guard, which is now including the SmartCan™ in a pending evaluation of flightline test equipment for the F-16."

Improving Flightline Test
The MTS SmartCan™ is the only flightline test set capable of fully emulating smart weapons such as JDAM during pre-load armament test. Furthermore, it is the only test set to evaluate the full functionality of the MIL-STD-1760 bus interface between the armament and aircraft. With the new SmartCan™ enhancements, maintainers now can test the full functionality of the AIM-120 interface by emulating the missile.

The hand-held, AA battery-operated SmartCan™ universal flightline test set weighs less than three pounds and packs the capability to conduct full pre- and post-load operations as well as possessing pre- and post-flight audio and video channels for troubleshooting legacy systems such as AIM-9 and AGM-65. It can be tailored and expanded to accommodate armament loaded on any 4th or 5th generation aircraft, and can troubleshoot many of the problems encountered by maintainers.

Bringing O-Level Test to FIDAE 2014
Marvin Test Solutions will showcase SmartCan™ and other armament test solutions at FIDAE 2014, March 25-28 in Santiago, Chile.

Major General Steve Sargeant, USAF (Ret.), CEO of Marvin Test Solutions will be available at FIDAE 2014 to meet with leaders in the military and aerospace industry and discuss how Marvin Test Solutions can enhance their ability to maintain and sustain aircraft, while simultaneously replacing obsolete legacy test equipment. The company will be joining its distributor, Aero Precision, in booth C-14.

To make an appointment to meet with General Sargeant at FIDAE 2014, contact Donna Van Dyke at DonnaV@marvintest.com or Lori Lai at LoriL@marvintest.com.  For more information on Marvin Test Solutions equipment offerings visit marvintest.com.

Newly Launched Secure Identity & Biometrics Association (SIBA) Provides Innovative Solutions to Often Complex Security and Identity Protection Issues

Janice Kephart, SIBA CEO and founder. (PRNewsFoto/Secure Identity & Biometrics Association (SIBA))jwplayer.key="2kY/GKwZ2uQZmDlQ9VYArfZt2b4+KhHX3+DM4zisgtE=";WASHINGTON, Feb. 7, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- A new association designed to bring the "A" game to identity-thought leadership, the Secure Identity & Biometrics Association (SIBA), debuts today. SIBA was created for vendors, research institutions, nonprofits and individuals. The organization's purpose is to provide proactive education, policy refinement and solutions to the complexities of balancing identity security and protection with national security, public safety, economic strength, privacy and innovation. These technologies include both biological and behavioral biometrics such as fingerprints, facial and iris recognition, voice identification as well as secure credentials.

(Logo: http://photos.prnewswire.com/prnh/20140207/PH60834LOGO-b )

Today these technologies make the world more physically and virtually safe, quick, and economically efficient. Benefits include securing borders, enabling individuals without documentation to be brought out of anonymity, catching dangerous criminals and terrorists, reconciling refugees and reuniting families, reducing identity theft, and enabling medical patients increased privacy while reducing fraud in healthcare. For consumers, biometrics provide protection beyond the use of passwords, most tangibly in banking and mobile solutions.

Yet SIBA believes that even greater benefits from these innovations can be realized if we understand better what these technologies are, and are not, and how they truly affect us as individuals, a nation, and as a global community. "With a struggling economy, the opportunity for innovation and economic growth is explosive. The global biometrics market was $7 billion in 2012. By 2020, it is slated to grow to $20 billion. With policies in place that embrace responsible future applications, these technologies can evolve into a core stabilizer for the economy's recovery and future growth," said SIBA founder and CEO, Janice Kephart.

Document Management Solutions Provider CBM Archives Debuts New Line of Customizable Biometric Kiosks for Law Enforcement Agencies

AUSTIN, Texas, Jan. 20, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- CBM Archives - with 20 years of biometric experience - has entered the kiosk arena by debuting a new line of customizable biometric kiosks.

CBM Archives has recognized the growing need from organizations to capture and process biometrics quickly and efficiently.   With this in mind, CBM Archives looks to take their biometric solutions and combine them with the mobility of kiosks to make them more widely available to the public.

"The CBM Biometric Kiosk can be used by police and sheriff departments or other central booking facilities to fingerprint offenders or to offer applicant processing to the public," says Darrell Whitely, project manager of CBM Biometric Kiosks.  "Jails can use the device to provide inmate identity verification or even visitor checks.  Probations offices can benefit from additional efficiency by allowing probationers to self-check-in such that only those requiring face-time are routed through to parole officers.  Driver's license offices can increase productivity by allowing self-service renewals.  The opportunities provided by our kiosks are only limited by imagination."

The CBM Biometric Kiosks have a modern design and can be fully customized to meet agencies' needs.  The basic configuration is outfitted with dual monitors; one is a touch screen display, magnetic card reader, signature pad, mug shot photo camera, fingerprint scanner (or optional palm scanner) and a securely enclosed central processing unit.

With the CBM Biometric Kiosk, initiating a background check is easy and convenient.  Simply walk up to the kiosk, swipe your drivers license or state issued identification, and follow a few on-screen instructions.  The CBM Biometric Kiosk will scan fingerprints, take a photo, and then securely submit them electronically to the appropriate authorities.

"The world is not as simple as it once was and background checks are becoming more and more common," says Jerry Sanders, president of CBM Archives. "We are hoping that our kiosks can improve the efficiency with which these checks occur thereby lessening their impact on the customer's life.  With shorter lines we can get them in and out without taking up too much of their valuable time.  Further, with our COTS based components, we can keep costs down and keep fees reasonable.  From the agency standpoint, the kiosk provides a simple, self-contained unit that allows a single staff member to service multiple customers simultaneously.  CBM's flexible pricing terms can offer budgetary flexibility by allowing for either an out right capital budget purchase or long term managed services terms that could fit within an operational budget."

About CBM Archives LLC

CBM Archives LLC has been integrating top-tier document management and paperless office solutions to law enforcement, public safety, and emerging private markets since 1992.
